How to Make a Mario RPG Geno Doll

Geno, the star warrior who takes the form of a children's toy in the Super Nintendo classic "Super Mario RPG," easily translates into a real-world doll. The character is noble and heroic, but comes across as weak because he is a living doll. In battle, Geno fires off massive explosions of star energy from his "Geno Blast," "Geno Whirl" and "Geno Flash" attacks. Use a basic doll pattern to translate Geno's unassuming form into a doll you can cuddle.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a simple human-shaped pattern out of flesh-colored fabric. Refer to your images of Geno. He has a symmetrical build of two arms and legs. His head is large and round. Cut two pieces of every segment so both sides can be sewn together.

    • 2

Measure and draw patterns of Geno's cape, eyes, boots and other details on the colored felt. Cut out the pieces using the scissors.

    • 3

Sew the body pieces together so the doll can be filled with stuffing. Use cotton, wool or another soft material. Insert the stuffing snugly into the doll before completely sewing up the fabric body.

    • 4

Glue Geno's felt details onto his body with small amounts of fabric glue. Cover his feet with brown boot fabric, place a pair of half-circle white eyes on his forehead and drape his head with his signature blue hooded cape.

    • 5

Set Geno aside for several hours while the glue sets before you play with him.
