Mounting a Picture to Foam Board

Foam board or foam core is a lightweight mounting material for photographs and other documents. Learning to mount your photos on foam board is an economical way to save on photo framing costs. Photos can be mounted on foam board in many different ways, but for a professional look, opt for attaching the photos with adhesive, plastic photo corners. These photo corners allow you to adhere one or many photos to your board.

Things You'll Need

• Ruler
• Foam board
• Printed photos
• Adhesive photo corners

     Print your photographs on photo paper.

     Create a layout for your photo or photos using a ruler. Lightly apply pencil marks showing where the photos will be mounted. Use four marks, one for each corner of the photo.

     Attach the photo corners directly to the photo that you will be mounting.

   • 4

     Remove the adhesive backing on each of the photo corners and press the photo on to the foam board so that the photo is flat.
