Asian Arts Grants

Many cultural and arts organizations in the United States sponsor grants for Asian and Asian-American artists. Some grants accept submissions every year, while others occasionally open for submissions depending on funding availability. The organizations generally choose recipients according to specific qualifications, an artist’s track record and the merit of the proposed project.
  1. Asian Cultural Council

    • The Asian Cultural Council offers individual grants to Asians in the fields of visual and performing arts, arts administration, arts criticism, arts history, architecture, archaeology, conservation, crafts, literature and new media. Individual grantees receive assistance to pursue creative activity, conduct research, study, receive special training and undertake observation tours in the United States. Non-Asians who seek funds to undertake activities related to Asian arts are eligible to apply as well. The council also offers project and organization grants to arts organizations and educational and cultural institutions in support of exceptional projects involving cultural exchange and studies between Asian countries and the United States.
