- Jose Maceda: Maceda was a composer, ethnomusicologist, and music theorist. He is considered one of the most important Filipino composers of the 20th century. His works include the "Ugnayan" and the "Pagsamba."
- Ernesto Lecuona: Lecuona was a Cuban composer and pianist, but he is considered a Filipino composer since his parents were Filipino. He wrote over 300 pieces. His most famous works are the "Malagueña," “Siboney" and "Andalucía".
