Which queen is buried at kings cross station?

There is no queen buried at King's Cross station. There is a famous legend, however, that says Queen Eleanor of Castile, the wife of King Edward I, is buried at King's Cross.

This legend originates from a 13th-century cross, which was once located near the station. This cross marked the spot where Eleanor's funeral procession stopped on its way to Westminster Abbey.

The cross was eventually moved and replaced with a replica in the 19th century. The original cross was then lost for many years until its rediscovery in the 20th century. It is now housed at St Pancras Old Church.

While Queen Eleanor was not buried at King's Cross station, her body did pass through the area on its way to her final resting place.
