How to Use Connector Pens

Connector pens are a type of felt tip pen or marker with varying tip widths. The tips are made of fiber, fed with an ink reservoir. These pens are "connector" due to the large, elongated u-shaped plastic clip attached to the circular cap of the pen which allows the user to clip the pens to each other. Adults or children can use connector pens for art projects or for writing.

Instructions

    • 1

Take the connector pen out of its plastic pouch and remove the cap.

    • 2

Press lightly on the paper with the pen tip and draw the picture of your choice or write a message. Experiment with colors.

    • 3

Replace the cap over the pen's tip and place the pen on its side, with the u-shaped clip on the pen's cap facing the left. Place another connector pen on the left side of the first pen, also with the clip on the cap of the pen facing to the left.

    • 4

Push the first pen's cap in toward the other pen's cap until the two caps click together. The rounded side of the second pen's cap will easily slide into the u-shape clip on the first pen's cap.
