Count Paris in Romeo and Juliet?

Paris is a minor character in Romeo and Juliet. He is a wealthy, handsome, and noble kinsman of Prince Escalus. Paris is in love with Juliet and has her father's permission to marry her. He is unaware of Juliet's love for Romeo and is disappointed when she refuses to marry him. Paris is killed in a duel with Romeo just after Romeo and Juliet have been reunited.
