Who are Macbeth and duncan?
Macbeth is the protagonist and antagonist of the Shakespearean tragedy "Macbeth". He begins as a brave and noble Scottish general, but is ambitious and power-hungry. After receiving a prophecy from three witches about becoming king, he murders King Duncan of Scotland to gain the throne and embarks on a path of tyranny and paranoia. Duncan is the King of Scotland at the start of the play. He is a kind and just ruler, beloved by his people. He places great trust in Macbeth, but is ultimately betrayed and murdered by him
