Puebloan men and women traditionally wore clothing made from cotton grown locally, woven by hand on a frame loom, or rabbit skin.
Footwear
The main type of footwear for Puebloan men and women were deerskin moccasins, often decorated with beads or embroidery. Knee-high footwear, called leggings, were made of deerskin and served as protection from thorny plants and cold weather.
Accessories
Puebloan women wore their hear in a single or double bun adorned with hair ties, combs and pins made of materials like bone, wood, and shell. Men tied their hair back and might wrap a woven cotton or leather strap around their head. Face-painting and body-painting were also common practices.
