How to Make a Marbled Look With Oil Paint on Canvas
Create a marble look effect and turn a standard oil painting into stylized work of art. Craft projects and theatre productions can employ the marble look technique with the proper application of standard oil paints. Cover a theater flat with marble-looking paint to give off the illusion of a stone wall. The trick to making a successful marble look is to blend several shades of paint into one work. Applying a translucent glaze to the finished product will give your art the hard and reflective qualities of real marble.
