How to Apply Fairy Makeup for Little Girls

Turn an everyday child into a fantastical work of art with fairy makeup. Whether your little girl is playing in the backyard or is getting ready for Halloween, the application of makeup is fast and efficient. Transform your child into an enchanted green fairy, for example. Instructions

    • 1

Cleanse your child's face with warm water and mild face soap. Dry her face with a towel.

    • 2

Coat your child's face with one layer of foundation makeup. Select foundation that matches the color of your child's skin. Rub a makeup sponge through the foundation. Spread the sponge across all portions of the child's face--minus her lips and eyes. Foundation provides a smooth surface for makeup application.

    • 3

Brush the lids of your child's eyes with purple eye shadow. Line her eyes in green eyeliner with a high pigmentation. Draw a narrow line outwards from the corner of each eye with the eyeliner pencil.

    • 4

Draw looping vines off the right side line with the eyeliner pencil. Drape the vines down the cheeks and up toward the forehead. Coat your child's lips with hot pink lipstick.

    • 5

Draw flower buds onto each vine with the hot pink lipstick. Shade the outline of the vines and buds with the purple eyeliner. Outline the vines, buds and lips with black lip liner pencil. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the left side of your child's face.

    • 6

Sprinkle your child's face with glitter. Pat makeup powder onto her face to prevent the makeup from running or smudging if she begins to perspire.
