Pablo Schreiber is an American actor. He is known for his roles as George "Pornstache" Mendez on the Netflix comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019), Master Chief in the Paramount+ science fiction series Halo (2022–present), and William Lewis on the ABC drama series The Good Wife (2011–2016).
Schreiber was born in Ymir, British Columbia, Canada, and raised in Winthrop, Washington, United States. He studied acting at the University of Washington and the British American Drama Academy in London. He began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in small roles in films and television series such as The Manchurian Candidate (2004), CSI: Miami (2006), and The Wire (2008).
Schreiber's breakthrough role came in 2013 when he was cast as George "Pornstache" Mendez on the Netflix comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black. He played the role for six seasons, until the series ended in 2019.
In 2022, Schreiber starred as Master Chief in the Paramount+ science fiction series Halo. The series is based on the video game franchise of the same name.
In addition to his work on screen, Schreiber has also appeared on stage. He made his Broadway debut in 2015, playing the title role in the play Henry IV, Part 1.
Schreiber is married to actress Jessica Monty. They have two children together.
