The Big Comfy Couch was a Canadian children's television series that aired on CBC Television from 1992 to 2006. The show was set in a colourful living room with a large, comfortable couch that could talk. The main characters were Loonette the Clown (played by Alyson Court), her grandmother Molly Coddle (played by Judy Marshak), and their pet dog Mr. Bumpy (a puppet).
The show was known for its interactive format, which encouraged children to sing, dance, and play along with the characters. Loonette and Molly often read stories, played games, and had visitors, such as the mailman clown, Mr. McDoodle.
The Big Comfy Couch was a popular show that won numerous awards, including two Gemini Awards for Best Children's Series. It was also nominated for an International Emmy Award in 1994.
