Where did the Maze Runner take place?

The Maze Runner takes place in a post-apocalyptic world within the fictional Glade, which is a large, square area surrounded by a towering stone wall. The Glade is home to a group of teenage boys who have no memory of their past except their first names. The boys live in a regimented society, and each day a group is chosen to attempt to find a way out of the Maze.
