Why does all of plays have five acts?

This is not true, plays do not all have five acts. While some classical plays, particularly those from the Renaissance and classical Greek and Roman theatre, were often structured in five acts, this convention has been broken from as early as the 17th century. Modern plays can have any number of acts or may not be structured into acts at all.
