Boyce was born in Los Angeles, California. He began his acting career at a young age, appearing in commercials and television shows. He made his film debut in 2008's "Mirrors". In 2009, he was cast as Tyler Crowley in the first installment of the Twilight film series, "Twilight". He reprised the role in the sequels, "New Moon" (2009), "Eclipse" (2010), and "Breaking Dawn – Part 1" (2011).
After the Twilight series, Boyce continued to act in film and television. He had roles in the films "Red Dawn" (2012), "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" (2013), and "August Falls" (2014). He also appeared in the television series "Switched at Birth" (2013-2014) and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" (2016).
In addition to his acting career, Boyce was also a model and a musician. He was signed to Wilhelmina Models and had appeared in campaigns for brands such as Nike and Kohl's. He was also a member of the band "5ive".
Boyce died on May 13, 2020, at the age of 30. The cause of his death was a cocaine overdose. His girlfriend, Natalie Adepoju, was also found dead at the scene of his death.
