Where was first play performed?

The first play ever performed was "The Passion of Christ", which was performed in Athens, Greece, in the 5th century BCE. It was written by the Greek playwright Aeschylus and was part of a trilogy of plays that were performed during the City Dionysia, a religious festival in honor of the god Dionysus.
