When did they rebuild the globe theatre and William Shakespeare work there?

The original Globe Theatre was constructed in 1599 and destroyed in a fire in 1613 during a performance of Henry VIII. A second Globe Theatre was built on the same site in 1614 and remained in use until 1642 when it was closed down by the Parliamentarians due to their opposition to theatre. William Shakespeare was a principal shareholder of the Globe and performed there regularly until his retirement in 1613.

A reconstructed Globe Theatre was built in London in 1997 and opened in 1999. While it is not the same theatre that Shakespeare worked in, it is a close replica and is used to stage Shakespeare's plays and other works of the period.
