The Theater of Marcellus is located in Rome, Italy. It is situated in the ancient city center, near the Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill. The theater is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient Roman theaters, and it was built in the late 1st century BC by the emperor Augustus in honor of his nephew and heir, Marcus Claudius Marcellus.
