How long has the globe theatre lived for?

The first Globe Theatre was built in 1599 and was destroyed by fire in 1613. A second Globe Theatre was built on the same site in 1614 and was in use until 1642, when it was closed by the Puritans. The modern Globe Theatre, a reconstruction of the second Globe, was built in 1997 and is still in use today.
