Who was allowed to sit in the globe theatre?
Everyone was allowed to sit in the Globe Theatre, regardless of their social status. There was no seating plan, so people would simply find a spot to stand or sit wherever they could find space. The cheapest tickets, which cost one penny, were for standing room in the yard. The more expensive tickets, which ranged from two to six pennies, allowed people to sit in the galleries, which were raised tiers of seating that surrounded the stage.
