What is the Arena Chapel named for?

Giotto's Arena Chapel is located in Padua, and it is formally know as the Chapel Of Scrovegni (Cappella degli Scrovegni) but since it was built adjacent to one of the two large amphitheaters in ancient Padua it became informally known as Arena Chapel.
