What is Moira in The Iliad?

In Greek mythology, Moira appears in The Iliad as one of the three Fates, or Moirai, who determine the destiny of mortals. She is personified as the apportioner of doom and is often invoked by characters in the poem when lamenting their fate or contemplating the futility of human struggles against fate. She represents the final fate that comes after the choices and actions of mortals have unfolded.
