[Plot]
"New Moon" is the second movie in the "Twilight Saga" film series, based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer. The movie picks up where "Twilight" left off.
1. Breaking Up:
The story begins with Bella Swan's (Kristen Stewart) 18th birthday. Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), her vampire boyfriend, abruptly ends their relationship, leaving Bella devastated and heartbroken.
2. Jacob Black's Transformation:
Bella becomes closer to Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), her best friend and member of the Quileute tribe. Jacob reveals that he is a werewolf and part of a pack that protects humans from vampires.
3. The Wolf Pack:
Bella learns more about the wolf pack and their history with the Cullen family. She finds solace in their company, and Jacob becomes a constant presence in her life.
4. Volturi's Warnings:
Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene), Edward's sister, has a vision that Bella is going to put herself in danger. The Volturi, an ancient and powerful vampire coven, warns the Cullens that any human who discovers their secret must be eliminated.
5. Bella's Depression:
Bella falls into a deep depression and engages in risky behavior to feel alive again. She rides motorcycles recklessly and attracts vampires who want to harm her.
6. Jacob's Revelation:
Jacob confesses his feelings for Bella and expresses his desire to be with her, but she cannot return his romantic feelings.
7. Alice's Vision Rectified:
Alice returns from her vision quest, revealing that Bella is indeed safe. Edward arrives in Italy, mistakenly believing Bella is dead and attempts to expose himself to sunlight, which would result in his death.
8. Reconciliation:
Bella rushes to Italy to stop Edward from sacrificing himself. She convinces him that she still loves him, and they reconcile.
9. The Battle:
The Volturi confronts Edward and Bella, but Carlisle (Peter Facinelli), Edward's adoptive father, explains the unique bond between Bella and Edward. The Volturi ultimately spare them both.
10. Aftermath:
Bella and Edward return to Forks and renew their relationship. Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), a vengeful vampire, is still determined to kill Bella, and the story sets up the events for "Eclipse," the next movie in the series.
Note: The movie also includes additional scenes not found in the book, including interactions between the Cullen family and the Volturi, as well as more time spent with the werewolf pack.
