What owls played Hedwig in Harry Potter?

There were actually two owls who played Hedwig in the Harry Potter films!

* Gizmo was the main owl, appearing in most of the films. He was a Eurasian Eagle-Owl, and sadly passed away in 2014.

* Ookla the Mok was the second owl, used for some scenes and particularly in the later films. He was also a Eurasian Eagle-Owl.

Both owls were expertly trained by animal trainer, Anya Porter.
