What are two crucial decisions that Antigone makes?

1. Antigone decides to bury her brother Polynices, even though it is against the law. Creon, the King of Thebes, had forbidden anyone from burying Polynices because he was considered a traitor. However, Antigone felt that she had a duty to her brother to give him a proper burial.

2. Antigone chooses to die rather than submit to Creon's authority. When Creon discovers that Antigone has buried Polynices, he sentences her to be entombed alive. Antigone knows that she will die, but she believes that her decision to defy Creon's unjust law is morally correct.
