In William Shakespeare’s famous speech "All the world's a stage,

And all the men and women merely players,"

The following similes are used:

1. "All the world's a stage" compares the world to a stage where people play their parts in life.

2. "And all the men and women merely players" compares people to actors who play different roles in life.
