What effect will a virus in the lyric cycle have on an organism?

When a virus enters the lytic cycle, it begins to replicate its genetic material and produce new viral particles within the host cell. This can cause the host cell to burst (lyse), releasing the new viruses into the environment. The lytic cycle can have a number of negative effects on the organism, including:

- Cell death: The lysis of host cells can lead to the death of the organism if enough cells are destroyed.

- Tissue damage: The lytic cycle can cause damage to tissues and organs, which can lead to a variety of health problems.

- Immune response: The body's immune response to the virus can cause inflammation and other symptoms, such as fever, fatigue, and muscle aches.

- Secondary infections: The lytic cycle can make the organism more susceptible to secondary infections by other pathogens.

- Chronic infections: Some viruses can establish chronic infections, which can persist for months or even years.
