Tanya Branning (born Jessup) was a fictional character in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Jo Joyner. She first appeared on 23 December 2006 and left on 25 December 2013, before returning on 22 October 2015 and remaining until 9 April 2016.

Tanya grew up in London with her parents and sisters. She had a difficult childhood and left home at the age of sixteen. She moved to Walford and met Max Branning, who was a successful businessman. They got married and had two children, Abi and Oscar.

Tanya was a stay-at-home mother for many years, but she eventually decided to return to work. She got a job as a barmaid in The Queen Victoria public house. She also worked as a nanny for a wealthy family.

Tanya's life was often chaotic, but she was also a strong and independent woman. She was a loving mother and a loyal friend. She was always there for those she cared about, even when it meant putting herself in danger.
