Why is Prince Escalus angry?

In Romeo and Juliet, Prince Escalus is angry because of the feud between the Montagues and Capulets. This feud has caused many deaths, including those of Romeo and Juliet, and the Prince is tired of it. He wants to put an end to the violence and restore peace to Verona.
