Frantic Assembly began in 1994 as a collaboration between Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett, inspired by the 24-hour devising project. The team developed their working methods by inviting dancers and actors to work alongside each other, encouraging them to push themselves beyond preconceived capabilities and to break down the barriers that separated dance and theatre.
Frantic Assembly's approach is physical, collaborative and devising, placing an importance on the contribution of all artists involved. Its productions are often characterised by the use of dynamic movement and physical expression, which work together to create highly visual and engaging performances that have a universal impact on global audiences.
Frantic Assembly's productions have toured internationally, including the US, Europe, Australia and Asia. The company has also created work for film and television.
