Why does Macbeth bring the bloody dagger to lady Macbeth?

Macbeth does not bring the bloody dagger to Lady Macbeth. In the play, after killing King Duncan, Macbeth hallucinates and sees a floating dagger leading him to Duncan's chamber. Later, Lady Macbeth removes the incriminating evidence, including the daggers from the murder scene.
