What does mean in Romeo and Juliet?

The phrase "what means" in Romeo and Juliet is used to ask for clarification or more information about something. For example, in Act 1, Scene 1, Romeo says, "What means this ancient brawl?" to ask what the cause of the fight between the Montagues and Capulets is. Here are a few more examples of how "what means" is used in the play:

- "What means she by this?" (Act 1, Scene 3)

- "What means this passion and this rage of mine?" (Act 2, Scene 1)

- "What means this waking?" (Act 4, Scene 1)

In each of these examples, the character is asking for more information about something they don't understand.
