How does the story end in Tuck Everlasting?
At the end of the story, Winnie chooses not to drink the water from the spring and decides to return to her normal life. She realizes that even though everlasting life may seem appealing, it would ultimately lead to loneliness and isolation as everyone she knows and loves would eventually grow old and die. Winnie embraces the natural cycle of life and death, choosing to live a full and meaningful life rather than an endless one without change or growth. She eventually marries Jesse Tuck and they have a family together, living happily ever after without the burden of immortality.
