What Year did Drama start?
Drama as a literary genre began in ancient Greece, evolving from religious rituals and folk customs in the 6th century BCE. The earliest known plays were presented at the annual religious festivals of Dionysus, the god of wine and fertility, and were performed in open-air theaters by choruses of singers and dancers led by a single actor. These early dramatic performances eventually developed into the three major forms of Greek drama: tragedy, comedy, and satyr plays.
