How do you kill IT the clown?

Pennywise the clown is a supernatural creature and as such cannot be killed in a traditional sense. However, the main character of the Stephen King novel It, Bill Denbrough, manages to defeat It by facing its true form, a giant spider, and summoning the power of his friends.
