Who is Laney Bunce?

Laney Bunce is an American professional surfer. She was born on May 23, 2000 in Solana Beach, California. Bunce began surfing at the age of 5 and quickly rose to prominence in the junior surfing circuit. She won the Under-16 division at the NSSA National Championships in 2016 and 2017, and the Under-18 division in 2018.

Bunce turned professional in 2019 and joined the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour. She had a breakout season in 2021, winning the Maui Pro and finishing 5th overall on the tour.
