Why did frank zappa hate jean-luc ponty?

Frank Zappa and Jean-Luc Ponty were actually on good terms. They collaborated on several musical projects, including the albums Civilization Phaze III (1969), Hot Rats (1969), and Waka/Jawaka (1972). Zappa also produced Ponty's first solo album, Violin Concerto (1975), and co-wrote the title track.
