What is first reaction to Juliet?
When Romeo first sees Juliet at the Capulet ball, he is instantly entranced by her beauty. He compares her to a "rich jewel" and a "white dove," and describes her as "so light of foot" that she seems to "trip the ground." He is also struck by her intelligence and wit, and is impressed by her ability to hold her own in a conversation with her cousin Tybalt.
