How to Look Up the Words to Any Song

Online resources make it easy to look up words to songs. There are at least 10 lyric-specific websites, and sometimes, just typing the name of the song and the word lyrics in a search engine will produce positive results. The fastest option is to use a lyric site and insert as many lyrics as you know in its search tab.

      Visit a website such as Lyrics, Song Lyrics, All Songs Lyrics, AAA Lyrics or Lyrster.

      Click on the search button on that site, or do an alphabetical or genre search.

      Click "Go" or "Find My Lyrics." The site will produce any song that uses the same title or the same lyrics as your search.

      Visit the Kiss This Guy website. This site does have correct lyrics, but only to songs people commonly confuse. The title refers to the most famous misheard lyric from "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix. It sounds like "scuze me while I kiss this guy" but he is really saying "excuse me while I kiss the sky." Another site that deals with misheard lyrics is Am I Right. It challenges users to fill in the right words between a set of song lyrics.
