Click on the part of the measure where you want to insert lyrics. Click on and select "Edit" then "Text Manager" from the top menu or use the keyboard shortcut, which is set to "Ctrl - T."
Select "New." A dialog box opens with a text box. Enter the lyrics into the text box. If you want the lyrics to align with notes in the melody of your tablature, insert a ">" at the the beginning of your text. This aligns each word with a new note of the melody after it is inserted into your tablature.
Type in a "+" sign in between two words or more if you want more than one word to be assigned to a single note, if you have inserted a ">" at the beginning of your text. To skip a note without a word assigned to it, insert a "~" character instead of any words.
Click "OK" to return to the text manager dialog box. In the "Text Position" section, select either "Above Tablature" or "Beneath Tablature," depending on which position you prefer. To insert the new piece of text into your current cursor position, select "Insert." If you want to delete this text, select "Delete."
Move your inserted text with the text anchor, which is a small triangle that is located at the beginning of your inserted text in your tablature. To move your lyrics around, click on the triangle and drag it where you want it to go.
