It's almost suppertime, almost time to pray,
The family is gathered, and the day is done,
The table's set, the food is hot,
And the love of God is strong in this home.
We thank You, Lord, for all Your blessings,
For the food we eat, the roof over our heads,
For the love we share, and for the life we lead,
We are grateful for all Your goodness.
We ask You to bless this food,
And to make it nourish our bodies and souls,
May we be mindful of those who are hungry,
And give them a share of our bounty.
We pray for peace in our hearts and in our homes,
And for the continued love and guidance of the Holy Spirit,
May we always be grateful for Your blessings,
And may we always strive to live in Your will.
