When did bono start singing?

Paul David Hewson (born 10 May 1960), known by his stage name Bono, is an Irish singer, songwriter and activist. He is best known as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the rock band U2. Bono's singing career began in 1976 when he co-founded U2 along with his schoolmates The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. The band went on to become one of the most successful and acclaimed rock bands in history, with Bono as its charismatic frontman and primary lyricist.
