1. Hold the recorder in your left hand, with the mouthpiece facing towards your right.

* B: Cover all holes but the thumb hole

* G: Cover all holes but the thumb hole, and also cover the first and second finger holes.
3. Blow into the mouthpiece of the recorder to produce the desired notes.
4. Practice playing the notes B, A, and G until you are comfortable with the fingering and can produce a clear tone.
