How to Save a Song on the Yamaha Clavinova 240

The Yamaha Clavinova 240 is a digital piano that is designed to emulate the sound of an acoustic grand piano. The CLP 240 has internal memory for recording music. Turn on the record feature before playing, then stop it at the end of the song. The recorded song is then saved in the piano. Up to three songs can be saved in the Clavinova's memory at a time.

Instructions

    • 1

Select all of the initial settings before starting the recording. Choose the voice and any effects that you want to use.

    • 2

Press the "REC" button. The Clavinova 240 will automatically select an empty memory slot. Recording will not start until the first note is played.

    • 3

Play the song from beginning to end. Press either "REC" or "SONG STOP" to stop recording. After the song is saved, the song name appears on the display. The name will be either "U01," "U02" or "U03."
