Insert your CD into the computer. A prompt should appear with various options on which program to record your music with. The options range from a default-recording program to ITunes. Choose the one that suits your needs.
Click on the device you wish to record your CD with. While choosing a device, you can set it as your default so you may skip this step the next time you record a CD.
Choose the speed at which you wish to record your CD with. This can be accomplished through clicking on the Choose Speed option that appears with the CD recorder menu. There will be several options ranging from 1x to 20x, depending on the age of your computer or CD burner. Note that you should choose a speed that coincides with the recommended speed of the blank CD. That speed will be on the packaging of the blank disc.
Record the CD with the speed you have chosen. You will have the option to set the chosen speed as your default setting.
