Determine where in your studio or rehearsal space to hang the bass traps. Bass traps work well when placed in the corners of your studio. This is where the sound waves of the bass frequencies tend to accumulate. Bass traps designed for corners will be shaped like a triangle to ensure the bass trap lays flat where the walls meet. Bass traps can also be hung on the flat surfaces of the walls. Traps designed for walls are flat and can be bonded to any flat surface.
Apply liquid foam adhesive to the back of the foam bass trap. Remove the cap and squeeze the foam adhesive from the tube. Line the back edges of the bass trap with a decent amount of adhesive. Apply a few lines of liquid foam adhesive to the center of the bass trap as well to ensure the bass trap securely bonds to the wall.
Place the bass trap against the corner or wall where it will be hanging. Apply pressure using your hands to press against the front of the bass trap. Allow the liquid foam adhesive to dry for several minutes to ensure a secure bond.
