How do you upload music to a blog?

There are several ways to upload music to your blog, depending on the platform on which you are blogging and the size of the audio files.

WordPress (with WordPress.com and WordPress.org)

Self-Hosted WordPress.org

1. Log into your WordPress dashboard and go to "Media" > "Add New".

2. Click the "Select Files" button and browse to your audio file(s) on your computer.

3. Click the "Upload" button and wait for the file(s) to upload fully.

4. After uploading, click on the "Insert into post" button to add the audio player to your blog post.

WordPress.com

1. Log in to your WordPress.com account and go to "My Sites" > "Posts" > "Add New".

Third-Party Platforms (SoundCloud, Bandcamp, YouTube)

For larger audio files or if you want to share your music on different platforms, you can use third-party hosting services like SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or YouTube. Here's how:

SoundCloud

1. Create a SoundCloud account, log in, and go to your profile.

2. In your profile's menu bar, click on the "Upload" option and select the "Files" tab.

3. Select your audio file(s) from your computer and click on "Upload".

4. After the file(s) is uploaded, click on the share icon on its thumbnail and copy its link.

5. Embed the provided link in your blog post using an "Audio" block or HTML code.

Bandcamp

1. Create a Bandcamp account and log in.

2. In your artist dashboard, click on "Music" and select "Add an Album".

3. Fill in the album's details, including uploading your music files.

4. After the album is created, click on the "Share" button on its page and copy its link.

5. Embed the provided link in your blog post using an "Audio" block or HTML code.

YouTube

1. Create a YouTube channel and log in.

2. Go to "YouTube Studio" and select "Upload" > "Video".

3. Select your video file(s) from your computer and upload it.
