Decide what type of radio station you want to make. Do you want to be a music station that only plays music with a few talk shows here and there? Or do you strictly want to be talk radio? What subject do you want the shows on your station to be about?
Sign up for an account with Ubroadcast.com. This account is completely free and you will be able to customize your profile and add pictures and other information on your account.
Download the Ubroadcast software. The software is completely free and it is what you will use to manage your radio station and will also be what puts your station on the air live.
Contact record labels, managers and artists about getting permission to play that particular artist's music on the air. You may have to pay a royalty fee in order to be granted the legal rights to play the songs.
Connect your microphone and headphones to your computer. Your computer should have a microphone jack located somewhere on the hard drive tower or on the body of the laptop as well as a jack for the headphones.
Launch the Ubroadcast software and type in the name of the radio station in the appropriate box on the screen. You can also name the show you are doing if you are doing a specific talk radio program.
Load all the MP3 music you plan on using for the radio show in the station manager software. Click on the "Add MP3" button, locate your files and double click on them.
Click "Go Live" when you are ready to start broadcasting your show on your very own radio station.
