Insert the CD and install the software on your computer.
Open the software, click "New" under File and choose your style. If you just want to create a label for a CD, choose "Disc label." The software also offers you the option to choose Disc with Jewel case, Disc with DVD case, Disc with inserts, and mini disk. If you choose "Disc with Jewel Case," a window will open with three tabs labeled CD/DVD label, Front insert and Back insert.
Edit the design. The software loads a template with text field boxes. The CD label boxes will be Artist/Subtitle, Album/Title, and a big box in the middle where you would enter track names. You can edit the text in the boxes, delete the boxes and create your own, and move the boxes around on the template to different locations. Clicking on one of the title text boxes will bring up a smaller window with three tabs labeled Size/Position, Set Text and Effects. In Set Text, you can change the layout from circle to spiral and other designs. Effects lets you add effects to the text, including changing the color and the font. Size/Position lets you edit the total size of the the text box.
Add color to the label by right-clicking your mouse and choosing shades. This brings up a dialogue box with foreground color and background color options. You can choose the degree of color you want and mix shades as well. Repeat these steps for the Front and Back inserts, then print the labels.
Peel the label off the printed sheet and put it on the label affixer that came with the software with the stick side facing up. The jewel case inserts have tabs that you can punch out, so you don't need to cut the inserts to size. Take the CD and put it on the middle spindle with the top side facing down. Push down on the middle spindle firmly to affix the label to the disk. If there are any ridges on the label after it is affixed, smooth them over with your fingers.
